LA PAZ, Feb 2 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) – Bolivia’s Joint Task Force (FTC) of 1,600 soldiers destoyed illegal coca leave crops in several areas near Cochabamba.
Bolivian Vice Social Defense Minister Felipe Caceres said that eradication of excess coca leave crops were carried out yesterday and reiterated the country’s policy of zero coca in illegal zones.
He said that the government’s policy is “zero coca” in illegal zones like the National Park.
The FTC eradicated more than 15,815 illegal acres of coca in the country last year when the law established elimination of 12,355 acres.
The Special Force to Fight Drug Trafficking (FELCN) confiscated more than 26 tons of coca paste and cocaine hydrochloride, destroyed 4,835 drug factories and arrested 6,637 people involved in that crime last year. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
