The fifth ‘Belia Cinta Tanah Air’ programme will be held from February 7 to February 28.
The programme, which is organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, is held in conjunction with the 26th National Day celebration.
The programme is divided into three phases, namely, Empowering Youths, Taking Part in the National Day Celebration Parade and Providing Service to the Community and will see the participation of 160 youths from all the four districts.
A briefing on the programme was held recently at Dewan Seri Kenangan in Tutong and was attended by 40 selected youths accompanied by their parents.
During the briefing, officers from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports explained the objectives and activities of the programme.
One of the officers, Dyg Norainah bte Hj Abd Hadi said, “The main objective of the programme is to elevate the spirit of patriotism among youths and the public.”
The briefing ended with a short march past drill for the flag hoisting ceremony which will be held on February 7 at the Canopy Hall Tamu and Pasaraneka Serambangun Tutong.
