MA’HAD Islam Brunei in Tutong recently held a prize presentation ceremony for the best and brightest students of the 2009 final examinations at Dewan Besar Ma’had Islam Brunei.
On hand to present the prizes was the guest of honour, Ustazah Hajah Rusita binti Haji Yahya, Section Head of the Education Institute, Department of Islamic Education.
The event began with a mass recital of surah al-fatihah led by Abd Qawiyuddin bin Haji Suhaili followed by the singing of the official Ma’had Islam Brunei song by ‘Lujnah at Tulabiah’.
Acting Principal, Ustazah Hajah Hamdiah binti Haji Salleh, made a welcome speech and congratulated the students for their achievements.
The guest of honour also spoke prior to the nasyid performance by Sanah 6 followed by the prize presentation to deserving students.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the best students of 2009 award to Awangku Md Wafiuddin bin Pengiran Haji Zulkarinin and Md Khairol Azamain bin Norzelan while the prize for `Pelajar Mithali’ was awarded to Hazwan bin Haji Salim.
