THREE Thai workers had a lucky escape yesterday morning when their pick-up truck reportedly went out of control and hit a concrete piping block at Jln Kianggeh.
The Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call at 11.03am and rushed to the scene within minutes.
Six personnel from Bandar Fire Station and another five personnel from Beribi Fire Station arrived at the
accident scene to find that the driver of the pick-up truck was trapped in his seat.
One of the passengers was walking around in shock while another suffered injuries.
The Fire and Rescue personnel led by Station officer Hj Mustapa Hj Mohammad took 40 minutes to free the driver from the wreckage.
All three workers were rushed to RIPAS Hospital for further checks and treatment.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
