A FLAG-HOISTING ceremony in conjunction with the National Day was held yesterday at the residence of the penghulu of mukim Berakas A, Awg Haji Ahmad bin Husain.
The guest of honour, Awang Haji Haris bin Othman, Brunei-Muara District Assistant Officer, passed the national flag to a village head before it was raised as the national anthem was sung.
Imam Hj Abd Ghafar Hj Menuddin led the recital of surah al-fatihah.
Present during the ceremony were village heads under mukim Berakas A, kampong consultative council committee members and residents from nearby mukims and villages.
