MONTEVIDEO, Feb 9 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) -Technicians from the Health Service Division of the Uruguayan Ministry of Public Health have restored services in the Hospital Policial here which caught fire last week.
On Thurs Feb 4 the hospital caught fire damaging the administration offices, intensive care unit and the maternity ward.
Maria Julia Munoz, the head of the Ministry of Public Health said that the ministry provided beds for 150 patients who had to be transferred. She praised the firemen and doctors for the speedy evacuation.
She said that in spite of the flooding there were not reports of epidemiologic diseases.
Regarding a dengue fever case, she said that the person got the disease in another area and was isolated to prevent any further infection. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
