KUWAIT, Feb 9 (NNN-KUNA) — Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and his Bangadeshi counterpart Sheikha Hasina Wajed held a meeting at the Bayan Palace here which resulted in the signing of several cooperation deals and a memorandum of understanding.
The cooperation deals and the MoU focused on bolstering cooperation on the cultural, economic, and tourism level.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah signed an agreement on bolstering cooperation on the cultural level and a MoU aimed at establishing a joint cooperation committee with his Bangadeshi counterpart Dipu Moni.
Finance Minister Mustafa Al-Shimali signed a deal on bolstering economic cooperation with Minister of Overseas Employment and Expatriates’ Welfare Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain.
Minister of Commerce and Industry Ahmad Rashed Al-Haroun signed a tourism deal with Minister of State for Environment Hassen Mahmoud.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Dr Mohammad Al-Sabah, Al-Shimali, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Roudan Al-Roudan, Al-Haroun, Minister of Social Affairs and Labour Mohammad Al-Afasi, head of the honorary delegation accompanying Wajed and advisor at the Diwan of the Prime Minister Sheikha Rasha Al-Sabah, the delegation accompanying the Bangladeshi prime minister, and other senior officials.
After the meeting and the signing of the deals, Sheikh Nasser held a dinner banquet in honour of Wajed and her delegation.
