UNIQUELY made local products from villages nationwide will be showcased this coming Saturday at the International Convention Centre in conjunction with the national excellence village award 2009 prize presentation ceremony.
Open to the public from Saturday afternoon until Monday, the unique products from the many villages will be on display at the exhibition hall with the theme, `Products from Mukim and Villages’.
In addition, the 15 finalists (villages) that have qualified for the first ever-national excellence village award will also display their products and services at the area.
Out of the total number of villages that has successfully made it to the finals, five are from the Brunei-Muara District, five from Temburong, two villages from Kuala Belait and three from the Tutong District.
To ensure that the ceremony runs smoothly, Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Hj Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Hj Mohd Yusof, Minister of Home Affairs, yesterday oversaw a rehearsal of the prize presentation ceremony.
Also in attendance were Pehin Orang Kaya Dewa Pahlawan Dato Paduka Awang Hj Dani bin Hj Ibrahim, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and senior officials from the ministry.
