A TEACHING Models Workshop was held recently at Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina UmarAl-Khattab for all teachers of English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography and Business Studies subjects.
Its main objective was to provide knowledge and skills in using the teaching models as well as to identify the students’ needs and to devise a suitable strategy using the models to optimise student learning in their respective subject areas.
The programme was carried out by facilitators for each of the respective subjects from the Ministry of Education Department and some secondary schools.
They included History by Dina Roslina Hj Aluiddin (SPN21 Unit, MoE), English by Hj Zul Fakhari Muksin (SM Rimba) and Huzaimi Kassim (SM Lambak Kiri), Science by Edna Maria Osman (SM Rimba), Mathematics and Business Studies by Belinda On (SMSUA), as well as Geography by Hjh Marasmayati Hj Meramit (SM Sayyidina Hassan) and Hjh Nurul Jannah Hj Besar (SM Berakas). – Shim Guek Lan
