NEW DELHI, Feb 13 (NNN-KUNA) — Nepali President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav will pay a four-day state visit to India, to start on February 15, on the invitation of his Indian counterpart Pratibha Devisingh Patil, said a press release issued by Indias External Affairs Ministry.
This would be the first visit of President Yadav to a foreign country after his election as President in July 2008.
The visit is in keeping with the tradition of regular high-level interaction between the two countries.
During his visit, the Nepali President will meet with the President of India, Vice-President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Minister of External Affairs SM Krishna, and the Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj. According to the release, India and Nepal share a unique relationship of friendship and cooperation characterised by an open border and deep-rooted people-to-people contacts.
The visit would further strengthen the friendly ties that exist between the two neighbouring countries.– NNN-KUNA
