ELEVEN theft cases were reported over the past three days in the areas of Kg Serusop, Jalan Tutong, Kg Sungai Akar, Jalan Lambak Kanan, Kg Sungai Tampoi, Batu Bersurat, Kg Rimba, Kg Sungai Hanching, Kg Tanjung Nangka and Chempaka Park.
The thieves made away with three handphones, four laptops, an electrical cable, two watches, jewelry, a recorder, four digital cameras, one amplifier, 37 Easi cards, an Astro receiver, car tyre and rim, and cash amounting to $2,055. A Toyota Corolla was also reported missing.
Two men and a woman have been arrested for a theft case.
Also reported were cases of assaults (four) with one arrest, runaway workers (three), demoralising acts (three), vandalism (three), death (one), runaway amahs (five), a rape case involving a 20 year-old woman, bounced cheque (one) and one case of frightening a person in a criminal way.
Other cases include reports of fraud (two), immoral case (one), arrest warrant involving debt (one), disturbing public stability (one), one case of possessing stolen items with a man and a woman arrested, trespassing (one), three immigration cases with two men and a woman nabbed; two customs cases with two foreign men apprehended for selling liquors at Kg Subok, and eight misuse of drugs cases with five local men and a foreign woman apprehended.
Twenty-one road accidents have also been reported throughout the country over the past three days. This includes 10 car crashes and 11 self-accidents. Thirteen occurred in the Brunei-Muara District, Tutong (four), Belait (three) and Temburong (one).
A 27-year-old man was killed in a self-accident, while nine others were reported to have sustained minor injuries.
