TWENTY-five theft cases were reported to the police in the past four days. Items included an electrical cable, a bicycle, mini-motorcycle, wood, gas cylinder, digital camera, laptop, handphones, a grass cutter, chainsaw, generator battery, heavy machine fuse box, car tyre, sports rim, jewellery, important documents and cash worth B$1,260.
The police also arrested a 31-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman for thefts and recorded five missing person cases as well as assaults (4), criminal attack (1), trespassing (2), vandalism (2), taking video without consent (1), extortion through letter (1) and three cases of fraud.
Two customs cases were also reported where a car was seized in a spot-check after a bottle of liqour was found inside it. The driver of the car was also found to have kept more liquor inside his house. Two men and two women were also apprehended while attempting a transaction involving 145 cans of Tiger Beer.
Meanwhile, five Immigration cases were also reported in which eight foreign men were apprehended, while 12 misuse of drugs cases were recorded, with 18 local men and three women arrested.
Also reported over the past four days were 31 accidents including 21 car crashes and 19 self-accidents, with one death in a self-accident and eight minor injuries.
