LA PAZ, March 1 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) – Leaders of the ruling Movement towards Socialism (MAS) rallied along main streets of the capital here yesterday in support of their candidates for regional elections on April 4.
The march led by President Evo Morales also included candidates for the post of governor of La Paz Cesar Cocarico, candidate for Mayor of La Paz former deputy Elizabeth Salguero and candidate for the post of mayor of El Alto city Edgar Patana.
Candidates for the assembly and councils of the 20 provinces also attended the march and gathered in a main square, according to organisers.
The event is similar to others carried out by other parties in the nine Bolivian provinces.
President Morales has called the people to vote with social consciousness in April as the only way to consolidate the change started in Jan 2006. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
