HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday sent condolences to Chilean President Michelle Bachelet following the recent 8.8 magnitude earthquake, which has killed more than 700 people.
In the message, His Majesty expressed his great sadness upon learning of the loss of lives and widespread devastation caused by the disaster.
On behalf of His Majesty’s Government and the people of Brunei Darussalam, the monarch sent his deepest sympathy to Bachelet, the government and people of Chile, and especially to the bereaved families of the victims of the natural calamity that hit the South American country.
