SCB continues to support less privileged students

IN A continuous support for the less privileged students, Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) continues to present sponsorships of a whole year’s school fees to students from Chung Ching Middle School in Seria and Chung Hwa Middle School in Kuala Belait.

Jennifer Kang, Head of Corporate Affairs and Marketing of SCB presented the school fee sponsorship to the principals of the two schools.

In the first presentation, Cheong Poh Lian of Chung Ching Middle School, Seria accepted the sponsorship on behalf of Chong Shuk Hui. Accepting the sponsorship on behalf of Christina Liaw Huei Zen from Chung Hwa Middle School, Kuala Belait was Hong Geok Cheng. Both presentations were held separately at the school’s premises on the same day.

Kang said: “Standard Chartered Bank believes in the development of youth as they are our future leaders. We are honoured to be able to assist and thereby, contribute towards the development of these deserving students. Our gift will benefit the student directly with an education and opportunities to grow.”

In addition to the sponsorships, Kang also presented Standard Chartered goody bags to both sponsored students.
