ST Andrew’s School recently marked the Chinese New Year with a colourful celebration at the school hall.
A lion dance troupe from the Chinese Chamber of Commerce was called to perform at the celebration, which was organised by the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) and students.
The day opened with a speech delivered by Principal Jane Keasberry, following which five colourful ‘lions’ (accompanied by a band of musicians beating the traditional drums and cymbals led by Ms Jane and Cikgu Chong) wooed the crowd with a spectacular show.
The highlight of the day was a concert comprising Chinese New Year songs, dance performances and a cheong sam’ fashion show. Aaron Hii
