Thirty-six teachers and deputy principals from Anthony Abell College, Seria paid a visit to the Health Promotion Centre at Commonwealth Drive in Berakas last Tuesday. The visit was part of the school’s annual health care activities, which also gave the teachers an opportunity to view the exhibits at the centre.
Teachers were given a tour around the Health Gallery, with exhibits displaying proper dental care, beneficial exercises for the heart, and the dangers of smoking and unhealthy diets. The group of teachers was also accompanied by several officers of the health centre, who briefed and provided useful information regarding the exhibits.
As a follow-up to the teachers’ visit to the centre, the school is also organising an educational visit for the Year Seven students of AAC to the Health Promotion Centre next week, which will include a mini-lecture on proper dental care by a health education officer. LeRissa Rangga
