ARUSHA, March 6 (NNN-ANGOP): The Angolan ambassador to the United Republic of Tanzania, Ambrósio Lukoki, is attending, in Arusha, in representation of the Foreign minister, Assunção dos Anjos, the 2nd Regional Forum on Prevention of Genocide.
The meeting, which is going from March 4-5, is discussing the role and responsibility of States and international agents regarding the prevention of genocide.
The event, which is being jointly organised by the governments of Tanzania, Switzerland and Argentina, is also to discuss the experience obtained in Asia, Latin America and Europe on issues related to prevention of genocide, challenges, risks and opportunities.
The meeting is also to analyse the role and responsibility of the civil society, mainly the private sector, the press and non-governmental organisations in promoting the prevention of genocide.
The participants are seeking to define genocide and ways to prevent it.
