According to a European safety research 50 per cent of all accidents at junctions during the day are caused by not seeing other road users in time. As a solution to the problem, experts recommend switching on the dipped-beam headlights during the day, or the use of additional daytime running lights. For this reason, all Audi models now have daytime running lights with LED light sources. With it, other road users can see the vehicle quickly, whatever the daytime light conditions.
Other safety highlights of the Audi A5 coupe include Electromechanical Parking Brake which holds the car at a standstill and includes drive-off assistance and emergency braking function when on the move at all four wheels.
Audi Hold Assist is another option that prevents the car from rolling away when it is driven off on a slope. Drive-off refinement is enhanced and there is a road safety benefit too.
