DAKAR, march 9 (NNN-MAP) — The Moroccan and Nigeiran cities of Casablanca and Abuja have signed a partnership agreement to develop Moroccan-Nigerian co-operation through a decentralized action involving the two cities.
The agreement was signed here on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the United Cities and Local Governments of Africa (CGLUA), held in the federal capital of Nigeria, Abuja, on Saturday and Sunday.
The agreement was signed by representatives of the two cities, according to a statement received from the Moroccan Embassy in Nigeria, which added that the two cities would exchange expertise, mainly in the field of environmental protection, culture, sports and arts.
The agreement also provides for the promotion of economic and trade co-operation through the exchange of visits between businessmen and professional organizations of the two countries.
During the Abuja meeting, which brought together representatives of around 40 countries, the CGLUA executive committee chose the Moroccan city of Rabat to host the headquarters of this institution. — NNN-MAP![]()
