As part of its annual rehabilitation programme, the Spiritual and Moral Institution Division of Jerudong Prison organised a Maulud Nabi celebration.
The event, which took place at the ‘Rumah Ibadah’ at Jerudong Prison, was attended by officers and staff of the Jerudong Prisons Institution as well as the inmates.
The guest of honour during the event was the Acting Prisons Director, Haji Jasni bin Haji Abd Latif. A Dikir syarafil annam recital saw the participation of five groups of individuals.
Later in the afternoon, a group of 60 students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam conducted a study visit to the Jerudong Prison where they were briefed regarding the functions and role of the prison by the head of Jerudong Prison Public Relations, Haji Shahrin Nizar bin Haji Nohi.
This was followed by a tour of the prison’s gallery prior to the students’ departure.
