The Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Defence emerged victorious in their respective category at the final of the Traditional Tug-of-War Inter-Ministry Sport Festival held at the Berakas Sports Complex last night.
The Ministry of Home Affairs defeated Ministry of Defence in the final of the 800kg category to snatch the gold medal and automatically putting the army team in second place with the silver medal. The Prime Minister’s Office were third with the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, in the 1,100kg category, the Ministry of Defence won against the Prime Minister’s Office in a hard-fought match to claim the gold medal. The Ministry of Development won the bronze medal.
Present to hand over the medals was the guest-of-honour Director General of Civil Services Hj Ibrahim bin Hj Hassan.
