A gathering of the Boyd family – the descendants of Douglas Graham Boyd and Florance Cox – was held at Manjaro in Kiulap last week.
The patriach of the clan, W Boyd, in his speech revealed that he had been pondering a full-scale gathering of all the members of the Boyd Clan for quite some time and that he was greatly pleased to see such a scenario become a reality.
“A gathering such as this is a healthy move as it provides us all with a platform and the opportunity to socialise and improve the relations between every individual member of the clan – positive factors which ultimately lead to the creation of a stronger, more closely-knitted family.
This meaningful milestone, which is a precedent in developing our family’s overall unity, will most certainly upgrade current relations between us all, and will move us towards being there for one another, not only during happy, joyous occasions but also during times of bereavement,” he said.
The interaction, following his opening address, reflected upon an already healthy family, with the majority of the clan participating one way or another in the entertainment that was laid out for the evening.
