SOME Brunet users may experience slow or intermittent internet services in the next 10 days due to maintenance on faulty cables, Telekom Brunei Berhad (TelBru) said in a press release issued yesterday.
According to the press statement, two of TelBru’s international uplinks connecting Internet transit via SEA-ME-WE 3 submarine cable systems are undergoing repair due to cable faults at Segment 1.7 route in North Asia, near Taiwan.
The repair work by the SEA—ME-WE 3 consortium, which began on March 10, will take approximately 10 days to complete.
TelBru and the SEA-ME-WE 3 consortium assures Brunet users that any interruptions caused by this unforeseen circumstances will be kept at a minimal and expressed their apologies for any inconvenience caused.
