We refer to the seventh paragraph in the news item “Audit reveals weak finance management”, published in the Borneo Bulletin dated March 10, 2010.
We wish to clarify that that reference to Ministries of Education and Health was not made by the Acting Deputy Auditor General, Awg Matali bin Hj Mohd Yusof during his presentation.
It was in fact taken from an article published in July last year and the amount ($190 million) too is from the audited figure of various ministries and departments as a whole and not from the Ministries of Education and Health as stated.
We regret any misconceptions caused.
