A closing ceremony for the “Fiqh At-Thaharah” course for government officers and staff in the Temburong District was held yesterday at the meeting room of the Temburong’s Dakwah Unit.
Eleven participants completed the three-day course on ‘thaharah’ – an Arabic term for self-cleanliness – for the proper way of cleaning the whole body in accordance with the teachings of Islam.
The ceremony began with the mass recital of surah al-fatihah, followed by a ‘doa selamat’.
Ustaz Abdullah Namit, the head of Dakwah Unit in Temburong district, said he hoped participants had obtained the right knowledge and deeper understanding in situations involving ‘thaharah’.
The guest of honour, Ustaz Haji Awg Adam Haji Tengah, head of the mosque officials in Temburong District, presented the certificates of participation.
