The Ministry of Education (MOE) yesterday held a celebration in conjunction with the anniversary of Prophet’s Muhammad’s (pbuh) birthday (Maulud Nabi) at the JPK Hall of the ministry’s new building.
It was attended by the Minister of Education, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Hj Abdul Rahman Dato Setia Hj Mohamed Taib.
A special talk on the history of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the Dikir Syarafil Anam and the benefits of prayer was delivered by guest speaker Ustaz Hj Shahruddin Hj Patra, Religious Officer from the Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic Boys School.
A Dikir Marhaban was also recited during the ceremony as well as a sprinkling of scented flowers to six new converts at the Ministry of Education.
The ceremony is an annual event held by the Ministry of Education and this year’s event was organised by the Department of Schools.
Also in attendance were the deputy minister of education, senior officers and personnel from the ministry.
