The kindergarten pupils of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School yesterday held a ceremony to honour the Maulud Nabi.
Among the pupils were grandchildren of HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, YAM Pengiran Qaiyimah Nurul Bolkiah binti Pengiran Haji Mohd Hakimuddin and YAM Pengiran Wajeeh Al-Bolkiah bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Hakimuddin, as well as the grandchildren of HRH Princess Hajah Masna, YAM Pengiran Anak ‘Abdul Muta’ali Haziq Hamidullah bin Pengiran Anak Haji ‘Abdul ‘Ali Yil-Kabier and YAM Pengiran Nur Aabidah Syifa binti Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammad Al-Mokhtar.
The ceremony began with the recital of surah al-fatihah, before the children were given a brief talk on Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
The kindergarten pupils were then led by their teachers around the school compound to celebrate the Maulud Nabi. There was also a colouring activity in conjunction with the auspicious religious event in the pupils’ respective classes.
