CAIRO, March 13 (NNN-KUNA) — Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmad Abulgheit received an invitation from Libyan President Muammar Al-Qadhafi addressed to President Hosni Mubarak, to attend the Arab Summit on the Libyan city of Sert on March 27-28.
The Foreign Ministry, in a statement, said that the invitation was delivered by the Coordinator for Egypt-Libya Relations, Ahmad Qadhafudam, who conveyed the keenness that the Libyan president placed on Egypt’s participation in the summit.
Abulgheit, on his part, also highlighted Egypt’s interest in matters listed on the summit’s agenda, given the challenges that the Arab world was facing at the moment.
Of these challenges, he said, were developments in the Palestinian crisis and efforts to improve the action mechanism within the Arab League. — NNN-KUNA
