WASHINGTON, March 13 (NNN-APP) — U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Friday offered deepest sympathy over loss of lives in a spate of bombings in Lahore and voiced the Obama Administration?s solidarity with the Pakistanis in their aspirations for peace and security.
?The United States extends its deepest sympathy to the victims of Friday?s bombings in Lahore, and to the families and friends of those killed and injured. There is no justification for killing innocent people,? she said hours after terrorists rocked the metropolis in the heart of Pakistan with seven blasts at various places.
Hillary Clinton said ?the coordinated multiple attacks in Lahore demonstrate the suffering that violent extremist elements are willing to inflict on the people of Pakistan?people who only wish to go about their daily lives in peace.?
The US diplomat praised Pakistan?s steadfast fight against violent extremism.
?We commend Pakistan for its stalwart fight against extremism and the commitment of Pakistan?s security and law enforcement forces to protecting the Pakistani people from violence and intimidation.
