Brunei Shell Petroleum Co Sdn Bhd’s staff and their family members yesterday joined a kayak expedition, led by Awang Haji Abdul Latif Haji Mohamad, to explore Kampong Ayer in the capital.
The 13-kilometre excursion was organised by West Offshore AMPA-09B with cooperation from the Kayak Club of Pusat Belia.
The group was flagged off at Sungai Kianggeh Tamu, passing six checkpoints before heading back to the starting point.
Among the objectives of the expedition were to commemorate the 26th National Day celebrations, introduce various villages in Kampong Ayer to participants, especially those who are not from the Brunei-Muara District, and to promote healthy lifestyle among staff, which is in line with BSP’s Healthy Life Programme.
