A delegation of 80 from the Tiong Hwa community in the Brunei-Muara District led by Soon Seng Lee yesterday attended a nationalism talk titled “Falsafah Negara Melayu Islam Beraja”.
Director of Information, Dr Haji Muhammad Hadi bin Muhammad Melayong, delivered the talk held at Information Department.
Kassim bin Haji Abd Rahman, Head of Nationalism and Community Section, said the talk is to discuss and foster closer ties and cooperation in every field.
Besides giving information on philosophy of Malay Islamic Monarchy for the benefit of all in order to support His Majesty’s leadership for the development and progress of the nation.
He added that since the establishment of the Information Department more than 50 years ago, officers and staff of the department continue to play its role as a government agency that acts as mouthpiece and ear of the government in providing information on the nation and government affairs.
Such gathering is a platform to further strengthen unity and solidarity based on MIB’s philosophy and principles.
There was also a discussion session and a speech by a Tiong Hwa representative of the Brunei-Muara District. The delegation was given a souvenir presented by the Director of Information.
