A road crash investigation course concluded yesterday with a certificate presentation to 18 police officers and two Attorney General Chambers officers held at the Police Officers’ Mess in Gadong.
The certificates were presented by Pehin Orang Kaya Pendikar Alam DCP Hj Hasrin bin Dato Paduka Hj Sabtu, Deputy Police Commissioner (Operation).
Also present was Acting S/Supt Azahari bin Hj Awg Besar, Head of Training, directors and officers.
During an interview with the Bulletin, Asp Ramzi Hayatina bin Dato Hj Ibrahim, Senior Investigation Officer, Traffic Control & Investigation Department, said, “The course is one of the efforts by Royal Brunei Police Force to reduce road accidents in the sultanate. The course allows officers to understand all aspects and causes of accidents and how it happens from the perspective of the accident analyst as this could ease court trials.”
The course was facilitated by Robert John Ruller and Andrew Laird Mitton, two specialists from Road Investigation Service Private Limited from Australia.
