HAVANA, March 15 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) – Cuba and El Salvador reaffirmed and enhanced collobaration in several fields over the weekend here.
Both countries also expressed satisfaction for the progress made in bilateral links since the bilateral diplomatic relations were re-established on June 1 last year, the same day Salvadorian President Mauricio Funes took power after the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front reached victory in the elections, Juventud Rebelde newspaper reported.
Cuba’s President Raul Castro met visiting El Salvador’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Hugo Miranda and had discussions.
Issues related to the history of their respective countries and challenges they are currently facing were also part of the talks, as well as multilateral and international affairs especially the links with Latin America and the Caribbean, the newspaper reported
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and Ambassador to El Salvador Domingo Santacruz also attended the meeting. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
