Sengkurong ‘B’ team was the champion of Sepak Takraw Open Double Category Tournament under the Brunei Darussalam Sepak Takraw Referees Association (PEPESTA) in cooperation the Brunei Darussalam Sepak Takraw Association and Youth Department.
It grabbed the Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Haji Idris bin Hj Abas Trophy after beating TK TEA ‘A’ Team 18-21, 21-18, 16-14 in the finals at Kompleks Sukan Sungai Kebun yesterday.
Third and fourth places went to MPK Kg Bukit Tutong ‘B’ Team and MPK Kg Bukit Tutong ‘A’.
The tournament was participated by 23 teams including Sengkurong ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’, TK TEA ‘A’ and ‘B’ Teams, Ministry of Health ‘A’ and ‘B’ Teams, Warisan Belait Team, Sports School Team, Sungai Bunga Team, BESETA ‘A’ and ‘B’ Teams, MPK Kg Bukit Tutong ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams, Mentiri Team and Kg Sungai Kelugos ‘A’ and ‘B’ Teams.
