In an effort to maintain the pristine environment of a place well-known for its greenery, a communal gathering of residents was held recently at the Balairaya and Kampong Batu Apoi area in Temburong.
The Penghulu of Mukim Batu Apoi, Orang Kaya Setia Ahmad bin Haji Lakim, as well as the village head of Batu Apoi, Haji Daud bin Haji Masri, lent a helping hand to all the other residents living in the area.
They hoped that by taking part in the activity themselves, they would be able to truly emphasise just how important it is that everyone cooperates together in keeping their surroundings clean and neat.
This communal event is one of several activities that are organised by the Kampong Batu Apoi consultative council to help strengthen ties amongst residents by partaking in group activities that are beneficial for all those concerned.
