His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to make a visit to Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), Tutong branch as part of the monarch’s visit to the district yesterday.
His Majesty was greeted upon arrival by acting managing director of BIBD, Mr Javed Ahmad. Crowds were also seen gathering at the premises, located at OG complex to catch a glimpse of the ruler.
His Majesty also consented to sign a ceremonial parchment and was briefed on the Corporate Social Responsible (CSR) projects for community in recent years, such as the BIBD Wish Awards, ISB Million tree project and various charitable events.
The monarch also took the opportunity to interact with members of a children’s savings scheme, which is part of BIBD’s commitment to the community in the Tutong District.
