GUATEMALA, March 16 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) – President Alvaro Colom plege he will continue fighting drug trafficking and organised crime with the main objective of reducing crime in Guatemala.
He said the fight against drug trafficking, imprisonment and dismantling of hired assassin bands and kidnappers and police officers and agents who committed illegalities was a top priority.
He said to provide security to the Guatemalans was his commitment and any transgressor no matter who will be pursued.
President Colom in his Sun March 14 radio message said that the government was still in order despite some changes in the Cabinet referring to the dismissal of three ministers during the last few weeks.
Colom also highlighted the signing of some accords with neighbouring nations as part of a regional struggle against drug trafficking. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
