Kapok Primary School ended the last day of the first school term by organising a 2-in-1 National Day and Maulud Nabi celebration at the school’s hall.
The event started with a recital of the surah al-fatihah led by Ustaz Hj Mohd Wizani bin Hj Awang Ali followed by a welcoming speech by the school’s principal, Cikgu Hjh Robiah binti Sahari.
A nasyid performance was also held presented by students from Year Three, Four and Five entitled “Cahaya Selawat”.
A prize presentation was held for students who won the National Day Logo colouring competition in conjunction with the 26th National Day. The prizes were presented by Awang Merali bin Haji Ahmad, Kapok village head.
Meanwhile, the Penghulu of Mukim Serasa, Major (R) Awang Haji Johari bin Haji Abdul Razak, presented prizes to students who won the jawi writing competition in conjunction with Maulud Nabi.
The event also saw a mass zikir recital led by Ustaz Haji Mohd Wizani which ended with the doa selamat.
