The Community Development Department (CDD), Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports yesterday presented a donation of $16,400 to the recent fire victims of Kampung Lambak ‘B’ in Jalan Pasir Berakas.
The donation was presented by Awg Mohd Hussaini bin Abdullah, the Assistant Director of Community Development Department and witnessed by the village head of Kg Lambak ‘B’, Major (R) Haji Md Jair bin Haji Abd Wahab.
Also present at the ceremony were officers from the department.
The financial aid was to lessen the burden of the two families.
The department also donated a one-week food supply to the victims, as well as materials such as blankets and pillows.
The victims – Awg Noor Azman bin Haji Sulaiman and Dayang Bungsu bte Haji Abu Bakar – received $11,200 and $5,200 respectively.
From the amount, each family member received $200 and each household received $5,000 for property damages.
