HAVANA, March 24 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) – Cuban President Raul Castro has asserted on T that Cuban leader Fidel Castro is very well and more disciplined than ever.
“He is reading and writing very much and I can say that he is very well for his age,” said Raul in a conversation with students of a rural school in the II Frente Oriental Frank Pais municipality, in Santiago de Cuba, who interested in knowing about Fidel Castro’s health.
“He exercises every day. He is more disciplined than ever, because he has breakfast and lunch on time. He goes to bed earlier, does not work until seven o’clock in the morning as he used to do before”, the Cuban president said as quoted by a nightly television news show.
In II Frente, more than 497 miles east from Havana, Raul Castro was interested in knowing the experience of the people from Santiago de Cuba in relation to the 5.5-degree earth tremor in the Richter scale on Sat March 20 and at least three aftershocks.
The head of State spoke with some people about planning the Cuban economy and the consequences of the U.S blockade on this country for over 50 years.
Raul Castro visited the mausoleum of martyrs in II Frente, where he laid a wreath at his wife Vilma Espin’s tomb and also at Spanish dancer Antonio Gades’.
In his visit, the president was accompanied by Vice president Ramiro Valdes, also Minister of Information and Communications and Armed Forces Vice minister, Gen. Ramon Espinosa. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
