IT will be princess versus princess by the time the team Fly High Netball tournament gets underway Sunday at the Multipurpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.
The teams, separated into three groups, will play each other once with the top two from each group advancing into the next round. The following round will have three teams competing in each group before being pared down to the four semi-finalists.
“We are organising this tournament to promote the sport and a healthy lifestyle. We are a fairly new team and (we) would like to share our passion for the sport with others,” said Shukrimin Abdul Amin, a member of the organising committee, in an interview yesterday.
The one-day competition, supported by the Brunei Netball Association, is slated to begin at 8am.
Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah and Pengiran Siti Aminah Pengiran Othman will be lacing up for the Comets while Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bulqiah will be playing for Ivy League.
The last time these two teams met was in the final of the 2009 Setia Motors Netball Championship in May where the Comets ran out 24-15 winners.The Brunei Times
