A new resort which is located at Jalan Kota Batu, is now becoming well-known among the local people as well as tourists. Mangrove Paradise Resort is more popular, not only as an eating place but also as a place for relaxation with the family.
Mangrove Paradise Resort was officially opened on 1st October last year. Its name is based on its surroundings where mangrove trees flourish. Located in Kampung Sungai Belukut,10 kilometres from Bandar Seri Begawan, the resort offers the most attractive scenery and peaceful atmosphere. The Resort has 15 chalets equipped with various facilities of family concept. At its early opening, the resort offered $128 promotion price a day, including breakfast for two persons. Each chalet comes with a varendah.
Among the facilities available at the resort is the Z’yan Restaurant that serves fresh food particularly seafood such as crab and sea-perch. The restaurant can accommodate 250 people. Other facilities include a SPA called: Dee’s SPA, a Surau, a conference room and two swimming pools. The resort also has a pool for fishing. Fishing enthusiasts are welcomed to the resort with a fee of 3-dollars per entry.
Fishing equipment are also available at 5 dollars rental fee. In efforts to diversify the country’s economy and with the assistance of the Tourism Department, it is hoped that the resort will be able to attract more tourists and choose the resort as their place to stay while in the Sultanate.
