Brunei registered motorcycle associations met with the Borneo Island International Big Bike Festival (BIIBF) secretariat committee and discussed the upcoming festival to be held in Brunei Darussalam in June.
BIIBBF Committee Chairman and PEMODA President Hj Maidin Hj Momin said the meeting aimed to invite the biker associations to the event hosted by Darussalam Motorcycle Association (PEMODA).
The seven registered big biker associations in Brunei Darussalam are PEMODA, HOG Brunei Chapter, Sportbikerz Association, Bersatu Bikers Club (BBC), Kembara, Kekal, and Temburong Bikers Association.
Hj Maidin said because safety is the most important issue during the BIIBBF festival, a safety ride will be organised for all local participants. He said since Brunei is this year’s festival host, the entrance fee for local bikers is $60 instead of $120.
Smaller bikes such as mopeds (kapcais) or scooters, no matter what size, are not invited to join the BIIBBF festival, which is showcasing Big Bikes, he said.
The BIIBBF festival is held every year in each country state in Borneo. Brunei Darussalam, Sabah, Kalimantan, Labuan and Sarawak have all hosted the event since 1999.
BIIBBF registration forms can be downloaded at www.biibbf.wordpress.com or can be found at all bike dealerships. Contact the BIIBBF secretariat at +6738748525 or +6738616246 or email pemoda@gmail.
