Q-Carrier spreads its wings

Q-Carrier Sdn Bhd reached another milestone yesterday with the opening of their new office premises in Kampong Kiarong.
Present to officiate the opening of the new Q-Carrier office was the Group General Manager of Carrier Sdn Bhd from Malaysia, Ng Gek Hai.

Also present were Q-Carrier’s customers, consultants and retailers.

During the ceremony, attendees were shown a video presentation of Carrier’s achievements over the years as well as Q-Carrier Brunei Sdn Bhd’s progress and achievements in the industry over the years with factories in Malaysia and China.

Carrier Brunei was established in 1951 and in 1984 Carrier formed a joint venture with the prestigious QAF Group and became known as Q-Carrier (B) Sdn Bhd.

In an interview, Chea Suei Keong, General Manager of Q-Carrier Brunei Sdn Bhd, said, “Q-Carrier prides itself with the professionalism of its employees and technicians. We give priority to safety for our services as well as safety to the environment. When our technicians go out to service air conditioning units they will do so responsibly and will not release the gases into the environment.

“Once gas is released into the air, it will stay in the environment for 50 years damaging the ozone layer. We as a corporate citizen should play a role in saving the environment for the future. I hope that other corporate citizens will take a bigger role in helping to take care and preserve the environment.”

Regarding Q-Carrier’s tagline of ‘Leadership through service’, he added that the company believes in giving better quality services and technical support in a safer environment.

“Our technicians will arrive at the location within two hours of being called for assistance or service. This gives convenience to our customers, since our technicians are based in Brunei.”

Q-Carrier also provides technical support as well as technical and services training for air conditioning market in Brunei. These training courses are held every three months and are open to the government and private sector.

On the future of Q-Carrier, Mr Chea said, “As the only supplier of Carrier (and Toshiba) air conditioning units in the country, I see a bright future ahead for us. We are not just selling but also supporting the air conditioning market in Brunei.”

The product offerings of Q-Carrier range from window room units of 0.75 tonne capacity to centrifugal chillers of over 1,000 tonnes capacity.

Air-conditioners, being mechanical equipment, need regular preventative maintenance to assure uninterrupted, peak performance.

Q-Carrier has a sizeable service operation to provide high quality after sales services. Q-Carrier service personnel are highly trained and are fully equipped to ensure customer satisfaction.

Q-Carrier continues to expand in line with the development of Brunei and has Carrier units installed in prestigious establishments such as Yayasan, Gadong Centrepoint, International Convention Centre, Orchid Garden Hotel, Ministry of Finance, Jerudong Medical Centre, Information Technology Brunei, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Islamic Bank of Brunei and The Royal Hangar.

In addition, many homes, schools and offices are kept comfortable by Carrier window room and split unit air-conditioners.
