Kg Bunut mosque along with the Bunut consultative council committee, muslimah of the mosque, Bunut Youth Association (IKERAB) in collaboration with the Department of Home Affairs, is scheduled to host the sixth Azan competition this year.
The competition is divided into two categories, Category A for those aged 45 years and above, and Category B for those between 18 and 44 years of age.
According to the Secretary of the competition, Haji Durahim bin Hassan, “The category A trophy was donated by Dato Paduka Haji Idris bin Haji Abas of the State Council, while the trophy for Category B was contributed by the Association Bunut Youth Association (IKERAB). A championship trophy for the mosque that scores the highest in the competition was contributed by Dato Paduka Haji Zakaria bin Dato Paduka Haji Noordin.
Participation is open to representatives of the mosques nationwide. Interested parties must submit their entry to the organisers by the May 12 deadline and the initial selection stage will be held on May 16.
