Appreciative of the Pusat Ehsan’s educational programmes and as an individual who is sensitive towards the needs of special children, Mr Leu Mee Hong yesterday contributed $10,000 to the centre as his personal donation. The donation presentation took place yesterday morning at Pusat Ehsan’s administrative lobby.
On hand to receive the donation on behalf of Pusat Ehsan was Head of Administration, Hj Abd Hamid Maaruf, who on behalf of its Board of Trustees also conveyed his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Mr Leu for his generosity.
Asked why he contributed to Pusat Ehsan, Mr Leu said that he was moved by the centre’s – a non-government and non-profit charitable organisation – strong commitment to providing quality education, training, care and rehabilitation services for both physically and intellectually challenged individuals as well as highlighting the centre’s various educational programmes.
“This donation is part of my personal social responsibility to the cause of special needs children at Pusat Ehsan,” he concluded.
