Beribi Religious School holds Malay poetry competition

In conjunction with the 26th national day, the Beribi Religious School held a Malay poetry recitation competition Sunday night that was aimed at exposing students to the art of poetry as well as instilling an appreciation for their country and religion.
The competition saw the participation of 30 students in two different categories, one for boys and one for girls. Present as the guest of honour at the event was the Brunei-Muara District officer, Awg Hj Jamain bin Momin. Prior to the commencement of the competition, a speech was delivered by the head of Kampong Beribi, Hj Zaini bin DP Hj Othman.

Two Year Six students from Seri Mulia Sarjana School, Muhjiyah Adawiyah bte Hj Arine and Md Amirul Zakwan bin Zulkafli won first and second place honours respectively in their groups.
