The Department of Information, as the secretariat for the committee on public relations, with cooperation from the Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board, co-organised the workshop as part of the government’s initiatives to upgrade the skills of the officers and public relations practitioners towards an effective and efficient career development.

He added that the above-mentioned roles and responsibilities are not that easy nor do they develop naturally but requires expertise and know-how through training and experiences.
Throughout the workshop, participants were given necessary exposure, right techniques in the field of public relations, writing news, newsletters, and also taking pictures theoretically and practically.
It was also hoped that the workshop would provide a new hope and dimension to the participants to upgrade their skills through given tasks to disseminate their respective information from their own respective departments through the print-and-electronic media.
Certificates to the participants were handed-over by the chief guest, Awg Hj Matussin Orang Kaya Sura Hj Tuba, the new Belait District Officer.
