Year 7 students of Nusa Laila Puteri School Secondary Department made an educational visit to the Brunei Arts and Handicrafts Centre yesterday morning.
The 30 students were welcomed by the principal of Arts and Handicraft Centre, Cikgu Zainal Arshad bin Haji Abdul Rahman.
They heard a briefing and later observed the importance of skills development on brass smithing, silver smithing, woodcarving, basketry and songkok -making and weaving.
The visit was to fulfil requirements in their art subject under the SPN 21 programme.
The visit was an opportunity to directly observe different practices and processes of handcrafting in relation to creativity and trade.
Three class advisers led the secondary students.
